Nicollet Friendship days Parade and Swimming fun!

We have had one eventful weekend I tell ya! First Friday night with the freaky storms. I have never been sooooo scared! I was bawling I was so scared! It was soooo loud! Sounded like a train was coming threw our house. And that baseballs were hitting the house. We did not have any damage to anything. Can 't even believe it! We of coarse lost power for a really long time. The power actually came back on at 2:30 the next day. My boss was kind enough to borrow us his generator. I think if we would have left everything we may have lost all of our perishable food. NOT COOL!

Saturday Darren had to work all day. We were up bright and early to take daddy to his pickup, so MaKenna and I went garage saling. She did great! We got lots of great things. I got her a lil tykes Picnic table which she just loves. She sits and eats on it just great. Yup, its in the house! I also found some great little kid dishes, and 2 great big huge scrap booking bags! I was SOOOO excited about them. They were only $4.50! That is the greatest steal ever! We ended up going to like just about 10 garage sales. She did great in and out of the car seat... until the last one... then we were done. So off to Grandmas we went. There we played and took a much needed nap. I cleaned out my car while she napped. After nap we came back home organized the house and waited for Daddy to get home and went to eat Mexican! It was sooooo yummy as always! We were going to get a babysitter but decided against it as we were both extremely exhausted from the long day and with the bad weather that was on the way I really didn't want to leave MaKenna home alone with a sitter. To scary for me. I think all 3 of us were in bed sleeping at 8. We didn't hear a thing which I told Darren that is probably not a good thing. We were extremely tired!
Sunday came along for the great Nicollet Friendship days parade. MaKenna thought that was just great. She sat for the most part but had to stand up and dance when the music came by!

Here we are patiently waiting for the parade to start!

Here is a picture of her and Miss Lexi Fluegge bustin a move!

Here we are first time on the Merry go Round! It was a hit until about 1 minute in to it! Then she wanted me to hold her! After our great Friendship day parade we ate supper and decided to go for a swim! It was still sooo hot out! MaKenna, Jaden, Grandma and I went to Lincoln Park. I didn't really know how she was going to do because her pools at home she really just likes to put her hands in. Well, she just loved it. She swam and swam, went down the slide all by herself. She loved it! Here are some of the pictures from swimming! They turned out pretty good! Can't wait to scrap book them!

And away they go! She was fearless!

I love this! You can't even see MaKenna! She IS in the front! Ha!

Here she is just a splashin!

Sitting with Grandma!
Loved to water with her watering can.

After swimming we ended the day with Dairy Queen! Oh... and then last but not least..... We must shower before bed... all the sweat and the chlorine made us yucky! Thought theses were pretty funny! She loves to shower now! Only bad thing we have to be careful if we are showering she just jumps in no matter what!

Washin washin! See her rubbing her belly! It is pretty funny!

It was a great weekend! Can't wait till the 4th! If it is anything like last year she will love it! Have a great week and Happy 4th!
