Sorry for the lack of updates. Dang laptop hasn't been out of commission and still is. Some of the keys are not working. Kind of important ones to. I could update the blog on it but I would be typing words and missing a lot of letters! You would probably think I was nuts. Soooo I am back on the old faithful DESKTOP! had it for ever and has been great to me! I am not sure where to start so many new things going on in our life. Selling the house.. MaKenna WALKING! Daddy home with us... tons and tons of new things!
Well.... lets start with the yucky yuck and the bad... SO about a month ago we were dealing with Miss MaKenna having a pooping issue. Her pooper was working all to well. It was HORRIBLE! She would scream at every diaper changing. Her poor bottom was so sore and broke out in a rash that at times it would literly bleed!! She had been pooping like a goose for over 3 weeks. We took her to the doc. Thought she was lactose intolerant... then we didn't believe it.. took her back to the doc.. did 7 stool samples... ( let me tell ya.. never wanna do those again!YUCK!) After all the hoping that at least one would be a positive to something just so we would have answers.. they all showed up negative. So we then decided with the great help of daycare to just switch her to soy milk and take it in that she was lactose intolerant. AND wouldn't you know her pooping problem cleaned up! (LOVE OUR DAYCARE! SHE IS SO AWESOME!) We have been able to give MaKenna other dairy products in moderation, cheeses are pretty decent.. not a whole lot , ain't going to try yogurt any time soon either.
The picture below shows what happens when you leave a little girl run around with no diaper and farts! sorry I know kind of graphic but I couldn't help but chuckle! Poor girl!She even finished pooping on the potty chair!
Thank god we have a handle on the pooping issue now!
Darren and I the last couple weekends had been mushroom hunting. We had so much fun. He even had me TRESPASS!! UGH! I was so scared! But was happy that I did it! I found 19 mushrooms by ONE tree! And one weighed 5.2 ounces! CRAZY! Here is a picture of some of them.
Now we come to Mothers Day Weekend. Oh how great it was! We decided this year instead of buying hanging plants for everyone we decided to BUILD our moms something from all 3 of us. I never thought to take a picture of the gifts... well I still could but We made them bird houses. Darren did all the cutting and the nailing and put together. While MaKenna painted her hands on them I sealed them. I think they were a hit! I love mine and the birds are crazy over it.
Miss MaKenna is finally walking. YES FINALLY! (She still crawls alot I think she thinks she is faster at it.)
She is getting better and better ever day. She will walk all over our house like no body's business. I think the reason it has taken so long is we have hardwood floors threw out and I think she is afraid of falling because it hurts! I don't blame her either! But she is finally doing it and we are having fun with it!
And lastly for now! Here is a picture of MaKenna and Daddy on the opener fishing. Ever year I give Darren crap that he never catches anything and always gets skunked. But this year..he did come home with 1. YES 1. It was actually a really nice fish. To bad he didn't catch 5 more for the limit! This one weighed 3lbs. Kind of cute to see MaKenna stand next to it! Makes the fish look huge! Or MaKenna little. one of the two! :) She really didn't like the fish and kind of stayed back away from it. It was kind of crazy flopping around. Didn't really know what to think of it.
That is all for now folks. I am tired. MaKenna will be up bright and early as she only took a half hour nap today. We had a house showing and she had to sleep in the car seat for 1/2 till we could get in to the house! NOT COOL! She lasted till 7:30 which means she is going to be up bright and early! Nighty night.
