Well hello everyone!
I swear I am going to stay on top of this blog! It should be rather easy since I work at a computer all day! I wanted to start the blog, to keep everyone posted on what is going on in our world, as far as baby, happenings, hunting adventures, and what not. It is hard to communicate with everyone. So... today I am going to start by saying that Darren and I are expecting March 27, 2009. We are so excited! We couldn't believe it that it really happened to us, and so unexpectedly! Baby is going wonderful so far. Darren and I originally found out on August 4th, 2008. I ended up going to the doctor 2 days later to have an ultrasound as requested by my doctor. Everything was where it was suppose to be and there was a tiny little beating heart! It was just magical and amazing for Darren and I to see. As weeks past I kept feeling worse and worse.. My night sickness was in full swing by the 9th week! I was only getting sick at night which is completely opposite from others! I now am in the 16th week and are feeling I would say about 80% better. I still get ill once and a while, but nothing compared to before. I kept telling myself... "If this is what pregnancy is?" This is for the birds! NOT ME! Darren has also reassured and repeatedly told me that my whining has to stop! And all I can come back with is... Well you try and carry this thing! I wish you would feel like this! I even went through a phase where I was unable to eat hamburger, potatoes, and still to this day, CORN! I think the reason for the hamburger was because at about 10 weeks I was in the ER. We still are not sure what I was sick from. Doctor thought that possibly food poisoning from Burger King, or under cooked BBQ's that I had made the night before. Darren had not been feeling the greatest either from them, so we are kind of blaming it on them! I have now gradually been bringing myself to eating hamburger again.'
Other than that things around our house are pretty low key, lots of sleeping, preparing for the baby, and you guessed it hunting! Darren and I went out pheasant hunting this last weekend with a couple friends. We only ended up getting one. Or should I say Darren got one! Gunner flushed the bird for him and the stupid bird flew right back towards him! EASY SHOT!
Darren has also bow hunted a couple nights. He has come home a couple times to tell me that he is getting snorted at! And of coarse I am thinking well why? And so he tells me that he must stink! The deer can smell him! So he has been washing his clothes with baking soda to get all the stink out of his clothes. ( To be honest, I think it is in his head!) Oh well. For me.. I haven't been out bow hunting this year. We did get my stand up. I just have been kind of afraid to go. Darren thinks that big people like me should not climb a tree!! SO I DON"T!
In between all the hunting and sleeping that we do, Darren and I have managed to start our child preparation classes. DARREN LOVES THEM!! wink!wink! So far the first one last Thursday was pretty boring. I actually got yelled at from Darren for not doing the breathing! I told him that if I would have took on more breathe and blew it out I would have passed out!!! They do alot of that which is not bad but.. jeez, enough is enough already. We are taking the classes for 6 weeks. They are every Thursday from 6:30 -9:30! THEY ARE EXTREMELY LONG. The first one only went to 8:45pm which was good so.. Hopefully they never keep us till 9:30 or I will be snoring in class!
Well, I better get off, I can hear the water boiling over on the stove. We are having my favorite tonight, SPAGHETTI! I will keep this updated as much as I get new info on the baby. Our next appt. is October 24th at 4:30pm. Hopefully from there Dr. B will schedule the next ultrasound! We really want to see the baby! Can't wait any longer! Take care!
