Doctors appointment October 24th.

Our doctor appointment on Friday went great! We got there right in time. We were the last patient for the day. Dr.Burkhardt seemed to be relived we were the last ones and that he was just going to take it easy and relax! Which was fine by us! I got weighed in right away and have now gained 13lbs from the begining. Dr. B says that is just fine. I got to finally tell him all my aches, pains and concerns. He said everything is normal. I have been dealing with my heart racing alot. He would like me to take my pulse when that happens and just count to see how high it is. If it is over 150 I need to come in. My blood pressure was normal. Everything was really normal. (Which I really thought I had so much wrong!) Darren finally said, "See it is all in your head!" He has been having a hard time dealing with my complaining. For the most part, I really haven't been sick anymore. (Knock on wood!) Darren for the first time got to hear the heartbeat. Dr. B found it right away and it was just beating away! I looked over at Darren and he was grinning ear to ear! Of course me looking at him I get a tear in my eye! The doctor said that looks like the heartbeat is in the girl catagory! And Darren says out loud,"Shoot!" As he would really prefer a boy. But then he always says after that... I don't care what it is as long as it is healthy.
As for the rest of the appointment, Dr. B gave Darren and I both flu shots when we were there. That was awesome I thought. I figured they were going to make Darren make another appointment and come back at a later date. Nope! Him and I both got the shot at the same time! Worked out swell. I also had some blood work done for the AFB test. That test checks to see if the baby would have down syndrome and a few other things. We won't have those results for 3 days yet. On our next appointment it is going to be the ultrasound one! I am sooo excited for that! I really want to see this little creature inside of me! We will be having that right before Thanksgiving. It actually is suppose to be on Darren's birthday. But he claims that he is going to be gone on a pheasant hunting trip in South Dakota. So I am going to try to make it for a couple days before. Then we can show everyone at Thanksgiving the pictures.
Other than that Darren has been busy this weekend preparing the camper for his big deer hunting trip up north with his dad. He gets so excited weeks before they go. We are going to go up this coming weekend and take the camper up to Savannah Portage State Park where they hunt. Darren, Steve, and I are going to go. The boys are going to scope out their hunting spots, while I am just going to relax and knit! Sounds kind of funny I know, why don't I stay home? Well, I need to get away!! So this is my mini vacation! Probably will be the last one till the munchkin gets here. Unless I brave to go ice fishing yet this winter.
We will see. We I suppose I better get my rear in gear and get something accomplished today!
